ISTRIA
Situated in the north of the Adriatic Sea, Istria, as the largest Croatian peninsula, is a region which offers an abundance of different experiences to all its visitors.
Of all the islands and peninsulas in the Mediterranean, Istria is the closest to central Europe, which, besides the pleasant Mediterranean climate and the traditional hospitality, makes it a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months.
Within a relatively small area, Istria has managed to combine two of the most idyllic images in the world – the blue Mediterranean and the greenery of the hills. Surrounded by the blue Adriatic, Istria is adorned by numerous natural beauties, picturesque beaches, islands, hidden bays which blend in with old Mediterranean towns, preserved in their beauty of stone streets and small town squares. In the inland, or in green Istria, vineyards intertwine with lavender fields, olive groves, castles and places with distinguishing traditional architecture, incorporated into the beautiful nature. The coast and inland Istria complement each other with different atmospheres, thus creating the unique beauty of Istria.
Throughout its history, Istria has always been the meeting point of different cultures, which is evidenced by numerous cultural and historical monuments, some of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Roman arena in Pula, the Euphrasian basilica in Poreč, the old town of Rovinj and the Brijuni Islands are only some of the places that should not be bypassed.
Wherever you are in Istria, you can try numerous gourmet delights, fish specialties or truffles, fuži, maneštra, and krafe, which should be complemented with indigenous Istrian wines.
Towns offer amusement, festivals, cultural and sporting events, whereas inland Istria offers the peace of unspoilt nature and relaxation with a view of green hills. Istria is both blue and green, intimate and familiar. Those who visit Istria, find it irresistible and always return.
GUŠTINI – TRVIŽ
Guštini and Trviž are a small places in the very heart of Istria, only 4 kilometres from Pazin, which is the administrative centre of the Region of Istria. There are only a few houses, surrounded by green hills, and their traditional reconstruction or construction is aimed at preserving the Istrian rural lifestyle and heritage. Guštini and Trviž are places which will enable you to get away from civilization and the fast-paced lifestyle, but at the same time they are only a 5-minute drive from the town of Pazin and a 20-minute drive from the Adriatic coast and its towns; Pula, Poreč, and Rovinj, which offer an abundance of top-quality restaurants, clubs, cultural and sporting events
This is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes to live in a modern, functional and luxury house, in a peaceful village atmosphere of idyllic hills, far from the swarming city streets, and at the same time be close to the sea, beaches and Istrian coastal towns. Guštini and Trviž will give you the peace and quiet of inland Istria and provide entertainment whenever you wish for it.
